To answer such a common question: Children don’t inherit your foot condition or deformities, such as bunions or hammer toes, but what they do inherit is your foot-type, and if that type of foot is more susceptible to certain problems, then the child will naturally be at greater risk of developing similar problems.
For example, over pronated feet, or flat feet can often run in families. And with this particular foot condition, as the arch lowers and becomes flat, it also makes the foot roll inwards and this can cause problems in other parts of the foot and lower extremities. Many adult foot conditions associated with running can be contributed to foot problems in childhood.
